I love traditional media :3 Its also really cool to be able to draw in a variety of media... I hope this helps some :3

great to read many thanks for this!

although there's one thing...I have a set of 36 prisma colours and, mine don't actually say intermediate or scholar so...I'm somewhat confused there !
:iconkitton:
They are most likely intermediate then. It doesn't actually say anywhere on the box but it does say scholar on the scholar box. If you want to order them, companies order them in as "intermediate" thats why there is a difference I suppose :3!

I hope you found it useful and helpful!

Wow, I'm glad someone did a tutorial like this. I'm a Prismacolor user myself; have been for about *counts* 3 or so years now. Though, I started out with a 48 pack because that was all the poorly stocked art store had left (boy, did my pocket squeal!). I love them so much!

It's so true that Bristol is very hard on them, but most of my work these days are either commissions or stuff I want to last for a very long time...I guess sacrifices have to be made sometimes. :D

Operative: Yessir, now that I've killed off their only contact and have a whole fleet of battleships at my command, absolutely nothing can go wrong now.
Serenity: Surprise! We invited the entire reaver population to the party!
Operative:....HOLY SHAZNAK

My favorite colored pencils are the desighn spectracolors that were discontinued a few years back. They're so much better then prismas..... I don't let anybody use them!

A useful tutorial :D Thanks for sharing! I admit I prefer digital mediums to traditional as the latter requires a great deal of skill and there's no undo function. Traditional mediums are worth a try though. It's nice seeing your work on paper (:
:iconkitton:
I have digital tutorials coming soon don't worry :3 I really don't think that traditional art takes any more or less skill....
:iconkitton:
But they don't make them anymore? :0

I can't imagine anything being better than prismas... they act exactly how I want :3
:iconkitton:
Mine don't break at all anymore :3 I only included all of that because I remeber that when I was just starting out it was a huge problem for me :0
